FROM WNCAP
"As we begin a new year -- eager to expand partnerships with WNC schools and other organizations around HIV prevention; optimistic that NC legislators will prioritize access to life-saving medications for those affected by HIV/AIDS; and hopeful that together we can overcome the problem of HIV-stigma in our communities -- it seems like a great time to highlight the national "It Gets Better" project. The video linked below features President Obama and several White House staffers delivering messages of hope and encouragement to LGBT youth. The project originated in response to several high profile suicides in 2010. LGBTQ youth and allies may also be interested in an announcement from the local organization Youth OUTright, featured below. Link to White House 'It Gets Better' video."
