Is your garage, shed or closet cluttered with Styrofoam pieces or plastic flower pots?

Here’s an opportunity to recycle them!

AB Tech student group Green Power! (formerly Students for a Sustainable Campus) is hosting its Styrofoam Packaging & Plastic Flower Pot Collection event, Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. at parking lot 19A (next to the Smith-McDowell Museum on Victoria).

Special Valentine treat for those who bring accepted items for recycling, and 10-percent-off coupon for dinner in an Asheville area restaurant.

Items must be free of tape, cardboard and/or grease — NO dinnerware or take-out boxes.

For more info, contact sarahrhallback@students.abtech.edu. (Event co-sponsored by Rainbow Recycling.)
