Various groups in Asheville have been marking the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq this week. On Tuesday, members of the local chapter of Veterans for Peace gathered on South Lexington Avenue to read the names of the U.S. military men and women who have died in the war, and memorialize all the victims of war.
At 5 p.m. today — Wednesday, March 19 — activists will gather for a rally in downtown Asheville. The group plans to go into the streets of Asheville to protest.

Calvin, why do you think Jason hates freedom??
I would say he is loving the freedom to be able to take these pics and publish them in a weekly, he is just the messenger here....showing us our freedom to express ourselves most any way we can or want to.
Are you referring to the Iraq'is? They are soooo much better off now than five yrs ago......they have had freedom crammed down their gullets whether they like it or not.

The Illegal war in Iraq.
Has violated the following laws.
1. Thou Shalt Not Steal
2. Thou Shalt Not Lie
3.Thou Shalt not Bear False Witness
4.Thou Shalt Not Covet
Isn’t it odd the the very people that support the never declared war on the people of Iraq, dare to call themselves Christians

nuvue... I think Calvin was being sarcastic... we lefties have heard that question for years now every time we say something against the war, it has become somewhat of an inside joke.
jason... great work, keep it up

( I do love Ralph's stance on local vs. outsiders.....I am an expatriot, but have strong ties to there)
Maybe it was the extra cup of coffee b-4 readin it and it struck me as something to respond to.
