Affordable housing, greenways and road plans top the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners agenda for the Tuesday, April 15, meeting.
The board will discuss the county's proposed Workforce Housing Policy, which recommends that the county offer funds to assist developers building more than 100 units (or more than 50 single family homes) for residents making 80 to 140 percent of the median income ($36,666 at last count).
The board will also tackle the county's new greenway plan, which sets the French Broad and Swannanoa River areas as high priorities for new greenways — and hold a public hearing on the Department of Transporation's Secondary Road Program.
And there's also the proposed rezoning of property off Charlotte Highway owned by CIP Construction. The rezoning would allow denser development.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, in room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. A pre-meeting, including public comment, begins at 4 p.m.
