The Haywood Park development is likely to dominate a formal session that will also see updates on the city’s graffiti policy and the e-verify system.

The Haywood Park project — a whopping mixed-use proposal for Haywood Street that includes a 100-unit high-rise condo tower and a 23-story hotel along with retail, office and parking — is up for a public hearing on Tuesday.

Also up for discussion is a report on the city’s 18-month old Graffiti Task Force and removal team. And immigration issues take the stage again as city staff reports on the ability to use the e-verify system to check the citizenship of prospective city employees or those employed by contractors.

Council will also consider a resolution supporting a petition demanding a cleanup of the CTS of Asheville site on Mills Gap Road.

The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on the second floor of Asheville City Hall. For the complete agenda, click here.
