The Mad Tea Party put together a little ditty just in time for the big day and wanted to share it.
So Ami Worthen and Jason Krekel invited the Mountain Xpress over their Montford home for an impromptu jam session on Tuesday night.
Worthen says she crafted "Oh sh*t! It's Christmastime" on the spur of the moment. "I think we all need all little humor during stressful times,” she says.
The tune fits the retro rock 'n' roll sensibilities of the band, which is celebrating five years in Asheville and continued popularity.
The song is obviously irreverent, but in a good way. It's the gleam in the eye of the elf with the crooked ears, a wet willy in the ear of the red-nosed reindeer, a slap on the fanny of the jolly old elf.
Sit back, pour another cup of nog, and enjoy. Merry Christmas!
