Our mantra at Mountain Xpress — “Local Matters” — guides most of what we publish, keeping us focused on people and events in Western North Carolina. But now Xpress is going to cast a wider net in a special series of stories titled “Worldwide WNC.”
In the series, which will debut later this month, we’ll profile local people and organizations that are making a mark around the globe. There’s no shortage of potential stories, but we need your help in deciding which groups and individuals to feature.
We plan to do the series in seven parts, covering these topics: Aid/Charity, Trade, Religion, Education, Security, Asheville’s Sister Cities and Arts/Culture. Do you know a person, company or organization that is doing something of note on a global scale? If so, please let us know if the comment field below.
