Asheville FM, Asheville's all-volunteer Internet radio station, plans to hold an on-air fundraising drive Saturday, Dec. 5, through Dec. 12. The station will also host a holiday party on Friday, Dec. 11, and an open house on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The radio station came together this summer. Located in office space in the same building housing Izzy's Coffee House, the station broadcasts a daily line-up of programming. The station's Web site is www.ashevillefm.org.
Money raised from the on-air fundraising drive will go toward supporting the station's operational needs. The holiday party begins at 8 p.m. at the Rocket Club and will feature local DJs. The cover is $5.
The open house will include tours of the station offices, as well as live music, artist give-aways, carolers and more.
