Asheville City Council will hear a presentation of the Downtown Master Plan, but that’s not the only big-ticket item on Tuesday's agenda.

Council will also consider a response to the controversy surrounding voluntary remedial action by the CTS Corporation at the contaminated CTS Asheville site. Also on the environmental front is the consideration of a Southeast Energy Alliance grant and energy-efficiency initiative in Asheville.

The homeless may also get more funding in the form of a $509,000 allocation from the federal stimulus plan for a “Rapid Rehousing Program.”

And the city may implement rate increases for after-hours fees in the city’s parking decks. Council approved the increase in 2008, but the change has not yet been put in place.

Asheville City Council meets Tuesday at 5 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall. Click here for the complete agenda.
