• Council unanimously passed an resolution of support urging national recognition for a new flag honoring fallen veterans, and in a separate vote, approved the raising of the flag over the city’s Memorial Stadium.
• Amid other stimulus-package grants, Council approved $309,760 for bicycle improvements on Coxe Avenue and $235,950 for south slope bike lanes.
• Council approved moving forward with a joint city/county nuisance-court pilot program (allocating an already earmarked $10,000) to address specific small-change crimes like littering, graffiti and public drunkenness).
• And the city will continue to advertise for a new member for the URTV board.
