Master Gardeners Spring Garden School
Buncombe County Master Gardeners will present a Spring Garden School Gardening in Buncombe County on Saturday, March 20, at AB-Tech's Ferguson Auditorium. Registration will begin at 8:30am and classes will be held from 9:00am -3:30pm. The theme will be home vegetable gardening, “Eat Local - Grow Your Own!" Classes will cover the basics of starting a vegetable garden, growing veggies in containers, pest control and organic options, specifics on popular veggies, including a session on tomatoes, and tips for growing more unusual vegetables.
Enrollment is limited, and cost is $10. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, March 17. Payment may be made with cash or check. To register, and for more information, visit www.buncombe.ces.ncsu.edu, or call Cooperative Extension (Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm) at (828) 255-5522.
