Those photos remind me of the devastation we are causing our ocean world through horrid fishing practices. I personally will not support such devastation.

Those photos remind me of the devastation I could do with some garlic butter and PCB relish. Yum!

Chris, so you're saying that all fishing is devastating? If not, did you visit the market and find out what fishing practices they use?

LOL! Mr. G I love it! It's true though, sustainable fishing practices are few and far between, it's important to find out where your seafood is coming from and how it's caught. Check out http://www.montereybayaquarium.org/cr/seafoodwatch.aspx

Unless this market (not a "seafood" market - it has seafood) has changed tremendously in the few months it has been open, my experience when I went there: 1) smelled of something foul and rank (not fish) and they had just opened ... 2) not many fish 3) primarily an oriental market that sold seafood.
Has anyone (other than the owners or employees) had a different experience? It sounded good, so I did the long drive only to be met by intense disappointment. I felt like I had been fooled into going. Go to Blue Waters (now on Charlotte St.) or the fish guys at tailgate markets - they are strictly a seafood market.
