Local Americana band Tennessee Hollow gears up for its debut at Lexington Avenue Brewery (39 North Lexington Ave., Asheville, 252-0212) on Wednesday, April 28.

The band describes its sound as "roots rock for people who wish Led Zeppelin had risen from rural Alabama." Though, actually, Tennessee Hollow didn't rise out of rural Alabama, either. In fact, the group got its start when — according to their bio — singer Dave Dribbon and slide guitarist Chris Budro "met at Berklee College of Music in Boston and immediately began writing songs together. What emerged was a blend of swampy rock and stripped down acoustic blues and folk."
Tennessee Hollow also includes Trevor Stoia on bass and drummer Micah Thomas. The band's most recent album is Waiting to Get Out of Town.
While Tennessee Hollow has a full schedule for the spring and summer, this Wednesday's show at LAB is the place to be. Brushfire Stankgrass also performs. 9 p.m., $5.
