Bouchon Street Food opened on Lexington Avenue this afternoon (Tuesday, July 6). Michel Baudouin, owner of Bouchon, was on hand to greet the customers as they filtered into the alley next to his full-service restaurant. Served from a tiny, 7-by-7 kiosks, customers enjoyed handmade hot dogs and crêpes stuffed with local ingredients like wild-foraged mixed mushrooms and goat cheese. Of course, a paper cone of Bouchon's famous crispy herbes de Provence-dusted frites could be purchased for dipping into a small cup of roasted red pepper mayo.
As of now, the street-food kiosk is open from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., seven days a week. Baudouin does report that, in the future, he may expand the hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit Bouchon's website.
Here's the full menu that's currently being served at Bouchon Street Food. Mini quiches will be added to the selection shortly. Keep in mind that prices are subject to change.

I dream about those frites. Now you're telling me I can pick them up on the street seven days a week? Danger.
