Bill McLarney, local biologist and the biomonitoring program director for the Little Tennessee Watershed Association,will lead the trip, sharing his vast knowledge of the river’s ecology, its creatures, and the threats it and the watershed face. The adventure is a half-day, 1-to-4-p.m. trip, with drinks and snacks afterward. Masks, snorkels and wetsuits can be provided upon request. The costs is $5 for current members of any of the above organizations, or $10 for nonmembers.
