The punk-influenced Americana-rock artist (and occasional Xpress contributor) Brian McGee recently opened for Jill Andrews at the Grey Eagle. Videographer Jesse Hamm caught some of the sights and sounds.
He has a few shows of his own coming up (and a new album). The Taking or the Leaving will be officially released Oct. 19, but we'll be telling you about it sooner.
Catch him opening for George Porter at the Pisgah Brewery on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 8 p.m., or Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Joe Strummer Birthday Tribute at Stella Blue.
Another good-looking show? Thursday, Aug. 26 brings McGee, songstress Laura Blackley and the delightful duo The Honeycutters to Carmel's at 6 p.m.
