FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Night of Fright Costumed Dodgeball Tournament Oct. 28
The Night of Fright Dodgeball Tournament has been hailed by participants as Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center’s “best event,” and praised by spectators as the “freakiest night in the building.”
Teams for the tournament may consist of four to seven participants. The freaky part involves participants and spectators sporting their best Halloween costume to the tournament.
Last year’s premiere event attracted 16 teams and more than 150 participants. This year, it promises to be even bigger and even more ghoulish, according to Aquatics and Recreation Coordinator Shawn Smathers.
“Will last year’s champs the “Nuts-n-Hunnies” be able to retain their title for another year? Or will runners-up, the “Young Gunz,” be out for vengeance?” Smathers asks.
Games will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28. Registration is $50 per team and can be completed at the front desk at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center. All registrations must be received no later than Thursday, Oct. 21.
