Allegations of voter intimidation are hurled from democrats and republicans at early voting sites in Buncombe County. The Buncombe County Board of Elections heard their complaints Tuesday night. Democrats raised the initial complaint with a specific alleged incident. Chairman of the Buncombe County Democratic Party Charles Carter says "if you're an American citizen it's your inalienable right and

that's how we form our democracy that's how we conduct our affairs and if anyone stops you from doing that they ought to be put in jail". But, Republican leader Chad Nesbitt says Democrats are guilty of the same thing. "We're getting a very good amount of phone calls in the republican headquarters of the very same accusations we're keeping a tracked list of it."

The Buncombe County Board of Elections says it will consult with the North Carolina Board of Elections Wednesday to see what steps it may need to take next.
