Smith McDowell House Museum is beginning a new series of children’s education programs on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the museum (283 Victoria Rd). The “Crafty Historian”, Museum Education Coordinator Lisa Whitfield, will be telling stories and teaching the children to tell a story with a hand made prop. Children above the age of nine may come to the event without a parent, but younger children will need adult supervision. Admission: $3 each. Reservations are suggested, so call by September 16. 838-253-9231 or education@wnchistory.org
The Crafty Historian series will take place on third Saturdays of most months (November, January, March, May, July, and August) and include a program and a craft that is related to the program.
