As part of its long standing commitment to community involvement and enrichment of Western North Carolina, Diamond Brand Outdoors will sponsor the Autism Society of North Carolina’s 6th Annual WNC Run/Walk for Autism on Saturday, Sept. 24, on the campus of UNCA. The event includes a 5K race, a 1K fun run and a tot trot for children.
Diamond Brand hopes that their support of the event will complement the other educational initiatives they’ve already spearheaded with the ASNC to raise awareness of Autism and assist those in the area who have been diagnosed with Autism.
“We are encouraged by the growth of the Autism Society of North Carolina over the past few years, and will continue to do all we can to help the organization educate and raise awareness of the Autism Spectrum Disorder” said John Delaloye, CFO and Owner – Diamond Brand Outdoors. “The cause is one close to the hearts of many in our organization so we are proud to do whatever we can to help ASNC continue its great work.”
In addition to providing fiscal support for the event, Diamond Brand will also provide prizes, mainly consisting of Diamond Brand Outdoors gift cards for various amounts to the overall winners as well as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner of each age category competing in the 5K, and the overall winners of the 1K race. Each winner will also receive a premium-quality Hydro Flask water bottle, compliments of Diamond Brand Outdoors.
