m2mpolitics.com reports:
...In the week leading up to the action in the General Assembly, Forrester spoke at a forum held at a Gaston County church about the proposed [defense of marriage] amendment. During that forum he referred to Asheville as a “cesspool of sin.”
“It was kind of brought up in a church meeting we had and I don’t know what prompted me to say that, but I distinctly remember a couple of weeks ago they were all out baring their breasts and everything up in Asheville,” Forrester said. “They have a lot of very liberal people. They have a lot of homosexuals that live in the Asheville area.”
Forrester continued: “I think, it used to be you think of Wilmington with all the movie people down there would be the worst place in the state or Chapel Hill where they have a lot of liberal people and so forth. But Asheville is just doing a lot of things that I don’t like and I don’t think a lot of people in the Asheville area like.” ...

Has he even been here? Good lord. Preaching to the choir but this town, with all it's problems is among the greatest cities in America. Our downtown is the envy of cities all over the nation. Shindig on the Green is such a cesspool... Really...all those wholesome family types and liberals packing our public square. Capitalism in the form of tourism and entertainment couldn't be more vibrant. And god all those strip clubs, road houses, and meth dens that you don't find in areas like Gastonia.
We should bring him here and give him the key to our city for giving us the best advertisement in the world.

So any place with a discernible number of 'liberals' is by his definition on the 'worst of' list. And they're "doing a lot of things I don't like..."
Walking around spewing out stupidity, narrow-mindedness and pompously believing what "he doesn't like" personally should be subject for some kind of sanction or vilification shows what a sanctimonious cretin he is.
Still, there is this nagging feeling that he is doing what others of his ilk do from time to time when they get on their morally superior high horse, which is projection. I repeat...if he'd just come out of the closet and embrace his true self, he can free himself from what must be psychological turmoil. That and minding his own business.

a bit Bigoted, anyone? The danger of mixing religion and politics. Pretty soon I bet he'd love to burn people at the stake, IMHO.
