Henderson County's gay community reacts to marriage-amendment vote; open forum to be held tonight

Hendersonville Times-News reports:
Debbie Early, 50, of Mountain Home, has been with her partner, Lynda Wicke, 54, for six years. The couple had a holy union ceremony in 2006, and they both see the proposed state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage the same way — scary.

"Consenting adults should be allowed to live their lives the way they want," Early said. ...

On Tuesday, the local Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays chapter will hold an open forum on "a community dialogue on LGBT families and youth, religion and equality."
