WLOS TV reported Friday, Sept. 16, that Western Carolina University sophomore Jonathan Tyler Pitts has been charged in Jackson County with statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl:
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office arrested a Western Carolina University Sophomore for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl. Deputies said 19-year-old Jonathon Tyler Pitts met the teen on Facebook. Deputies said Pitts used several different online aliases to meet girls. He has gone by Will McNeil, Mike Williams, Blake Nicholas, Tyler Duncan, and Nick Diles. The Sheriff's Office said there could be more victims out there.
