Monaca-based zinc maker Horsehead Corp. is building its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Carolina, the company said Monday.

Horsehead, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Horsehead Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: ZINC), will be building the facility, which is expected to produce zinc more efficiently and employ 250 people when completed, near the town of Forest City in Rutherford County. ...
