Black Mountain News reports:
There will not be a Walgreens in the middle of downtown Black Mountain.

The Town of Black Mountain Board of Aldermen voted 4-1 Friday to refuse a $2.1 million offer by a developer who wanted to purchase the town-owned property to build a Walgreens. Aldermen Ruth Brandon, Joan Brown, Mike Sobol, and Carlos Showers voted for the motion, with Tim Rayburn dissenting.
