FLETCHER — Western North Carolina is getting a new industry hunter to scout for factories and bring manufacturing jobs to the region.
Thomas L. Johnson, who helped recruit a $450 million Facebook data center and a $360 million zinc producing facility for Rutherford County, will join AdvantageWest as executive vice president starting in November.
Johnson will focus on recruiting advanced manufacturers for the 23 counties served by the regional economic development agency. ...Read the full article
