Share stories. Expand perceptions. Engage with your community. These are some of the goals of two TEDx events being held in the region this fall.
TEDxAsheville 2011 and a new science-focused event, TEDxKatuah, are independently organized events, licensed by TED, and devoted to showcasing great ideas, performances and technology.
Both events seek thinkers, dreamers, scientists, entrepreneurs and activists of all ages to support this local platform for sharing great ideas.
Tickets for both events go on sale October 6 at TEDxAsheville.com and TEDxKatuah.com .
“Being a part of TEDxAsheville 2010 was such a rewarding experience. I’ve followed the national TED talks for a while, but it’s wonderful to really see friends and familiar faces getting involved and sharing great ideas on the local level.” - John Miles, Integritive, Inc; TEDxAsheville 2010 speaker
TEDxAsheville tickets will be available through the Diana Wortham Theatre box office and at TEDxAsheville.com . A limited number of tickets will also be available at the TEDxAsheville Salons, held Thursdays at Posana Café.
TEDxAsheville is bigger and better than ever this year and will have approximately 500 tickets available. See TEDxAsheville.com for more details and connect with us on Facebook as TEDxAsheville, on Twitter @TEDxAsheville, or by email at brett@tedxavl.com.
TEDxKatuah tickets will be available exclusively through TEDxKatuah.com . Only 100 tickets will be sold. For more information, visit us at TEDxKatuah.com , on Facebook as TEDxKatuah, on Twitter @TEDxKatuah, or by email at michelle@tedxavl.com.
