From Xpress distribution manager Jeff Tallman, who confirmed the following after meeting with Visitors' Bureau officials earlier today:
Pack Square Conservancy is moving forward with construction of that pavilion which will house a visitors center and bathrooms [in Pack Square Park]. Construction is set to start November 1 with a "drop dead date" in early May.
The visitors center will be managed by Tom Roberson of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau.
