"Please come help us celebrate the release of Hello Hugo's new EP! A lot of wonderful people helped us finish this, and we want to honor the collaborative effort with a full on hootenanny," writes local band Hello Hugo in its Facebook invite.
Hello Hugo is Rosser Douglas, Nick Prather, Reid Weigner and Justin Holt. Douglas, Prather and Holt made up experimental rock outfit Seawhistle before disbanding to form Hello Hugo. They describe their sound as being "like steeping tea for the perfect amount of time."
"A lot of local personalities helped to complete this project (David Barrett — recording, Evan Bradford — mastering, Daniel Abide — screen printing and Kyle Stpehens — artwork)," writes Rosser. "We want to spread the word. The show will be a ton of fun."
The CD release party will be held at BoBo Gallery starting 8 p.m. Villages and Protractor will also perform. Cover is $3, CDs are $2.
