The diverse Hispanic culture in Western North Carolina will take center stage today as the annual Fiesta Latina celebration comes to Roger McGuire Green in Pack Square Park.
The event, which moves this year from the WNC Agricultural Center to the city center, runs noon-8 p.m. and will include a daylong lineup of music and entertainment, Latin foods, vendors, music and dance classes, a children’s area and a Queen of the Festival pageant at 4:30 p.m. ...
The festival will feature food from Cuba, Venezuela, Salvador and Mexico, Latino folk dancers, dancers performing salsa, the Argentine tango, flamenco and other Latin dances, Latin reggae and other entertainers, including emcee Cachita, who wowed the crowd at last year’s celebration. ...Read the full article
