The Watauga County Farmers' Market has received a $81,605 federal grant through a program designed to increase consumer access to healthy food.
Four other markets or food marketing projects in Asheville, Raleigh and Whispering Pines also received grants ranging from $66,462 to $95,052, according to a news release Thursday from Sen. Kay Hagan and the U.S. Department of Agriculture....Read the full article
