Thousands are enjoying the leaves along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Many stop at overlooks in Haywood County to enjoy the view, but at many of them, the view is obstructed with overgrowth. The Haywood County Tourism Development Authority used to give money to the Blue Ridge Parkway to help clear them. But the economy has made that impossible this year, so it's talking with Parkway officials about options like a volunteer adopt-a-vista program where people can adopt an overlook and do minimal trimming.
