Here's the info from the Buncombe County Department of Election Services via the county website:
Friday, October 14 is the deadline for registration forms to be received by the Board of Elections for the General Election on November 8.
Voters must have moved into the municipality 30 days prior to election day.
Registration forms must be delivered by 5 p.m. to the Board of Elections office at 35 Woodfin Street, Asheville, or if registration forms are mailed they must be postmarked on or before October 14.
A registration form may be faxed to 828-250-6262 on or before October 19, however, the original form must be received by the Board of Elections within five days.
We also offer in-person registration during One-Stop Voting.
