Here's the message from Asheville City Council member and Congressional candidate Cecil Bothwell, via his email newsletter:
In the 3rd quarter (ending Sept. 30) Heath Shuler received $10,000 from 14 donors. In the same period, we raised $16,500 from over 225 donors.
The people have voted.
(Full disclosure - Shuler also raised $76,000 from corporate and other PACs. He has accepted $24,000 from AT&T and become the leading congressional cheerleader for the job-killing AT&T/T-Mobile merger. The corporations have voted, too. I will not accept corporate PAC money.)
