A fall harvest potluck this Sunday will herald the formation of a new sub-chapter of Slow Food International in Polk County.
The gathering, which will feature locally produced food and drinks at Leap Farm in Mill Spring, is also a celebration of National Food Day, observed on Monday.
The newly dubbed Slow Food Foothills will operate as a sub-chapter of Slow Food Asheville, which was founded in March 2003.Read the full article
