MountainX.com users can now have their voices heard with the new user score feature of the website. Custom-developed by Web Manager Patrick Conant, this element will allow users to vote stories up or down, allowing an increased level of interactivity. The rating feature will also help Xpress recognize user trends, helping inform how we further develop the site.
"We're constantly looking for new ways to involve users with our content, this is the first step in what will be many more changes to come," Conant said of the new feature.
Users can vote by navigating to an article and clicking either the plus or minus symbol in container to the top right of the story.

And this will be more secure than the recent XPress Planning and Zoning Commission candidate thing, or the Scrutiny Hooligans 'thumbs up/thumbs down' thing, or the AC-T reader comment 'score' thing? 'Cause all of those are/were obviously manipulated by people trying to steer/censor/blur the discussion or simply pee in the sandbox.

Does anyone take the ACT reader comment score seriously?? SH up/down thumb is/was clearly someone on the "inside." Someone over there even down thumbed a recent repost I made announcing the LWV Candidate forum. Go figure! :-\
Not familiar with the P & Z scoring on MtnXp....I musta missed that one...somehow.
