Here's the email from Asheville on Bikes founder Mike Sule:
Pedallers,
Once again, thank you all for making the Pumpkin Pedaller such a wonderful experience. We had a wonderful time rolling the streets with you. Let's keep that energy up and invest some of it into our local political system.
This is a big week for Asheville, and we need you to be a part of the movement by attending Get There Asheville's Step 2 It at the Asheville Design Center:
Get There Asheville’s “Step 2 It”
Thursday, Nov. 3rd @ Asheville Design Center on 8 College Ave.
7pm - 9pm
Get There Asheville, in conjunction with Western North Carolina Alliance, Asheville Design Center and Asheville on Bikes, hosts a city council candidates’ forum focused on the issues of expanding Asheville’s multi-modal transportation network.
The “Step 2 It” provides participants the opportunity to further engage candidates on the issue of multi-modal transportation. The forum format includes four rounds; a vision round, a command of materials round, a constituent questions round and a final commitments round.
After you've done your civic duties, the next round of fun is the Asheville Holiday Parade. AoB's theme is, "Rock through the Ages, Roll through the Streets." Participants are encouraged to show up on bike dressed as Rock and Roll. Participate as your favorite rocker or the groupie you always wanted to be. It's all in good fun. Contact Megan Smith, AoB's parade commander, @ paradecommander@ashevilleonbikes.com for details.
Thank you for your continued support. Let's work together and move our city forward. When you show, we grow.
Respectfully,
Mike Sule
