Sierra Nevada is “very aware of Asheville’s reputation as a beer town,” brewery spokesman Bill Manley said. “Someone from the brewery travels there several times a year for various events and festivals. Every time we go we have a great time.”
But he wouldn’t provide details on the location search. “We are still looking at a handful of sites in several states, and, out of respect for all parties, we prefer not to comment on the specific sites that are in consideration.” But the location will probably be picked by the end of the year, he said.
