Beer columnist for Rapid River Joe Zinich asked New Belgium about its plans for an East Coast brewery. He posted on his Facebook page on Nov. 21 that a spokesperson for the company told him:
"We have narrowed our decision to Asheville, NC and Philadelphia. We will most likely be announcing our decision at the beginning of 2012."
