The work is feeding those in need a hot Thanksgiving dinner. Carol Anne, her sons, and 40 other volunteers and staff served about 300 people a traditional Thanksgiving meal at Western Carolina Rescue Ministry on Patton Avenue on a cool and windy day.
Women and children received a special 'turkey box' made by kids just for the occasion with candy and small toys. No one was turned away, and there was plenty left overs, even of mashed potatoes.
