From Henderson County Travel and Tourism:
The Polar Express story will come alive with a conductor, storyteller and Santa Claus who will be at the Historic Hendersonville Depot to lead the children through the story. Each child will experience the magic of the story of a young boy who boards the magical Polar Express Train. Adults will enjoy watching the wonder on the faces of the children as the conductor and storyteller guide them through the tale.
The historic Hendersonville Train Depot on Maple St. will open its doors on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 11:30 a.m., following the Hendersonville Christmas Parade.
There will be refreshments for sale by the Boys & Girls Club of Hendersonville. This magical experience will be a great way for children to begin this year’s holiday season. The children will be serenaded by local carolers as they arrive for the event.
The Apple Valley Railroad Club will be there to man the train depot, which will be open extended hours that day. (10am - 4pm) Adults and children alike will be thrilled by the extensive train layout maintained by the club members.
