Brother Wolf Animal Rescue ranked 13th in the country in increased adoptions over last year in the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals $100K Challenge, which ran from August through October.

That's 222 more dogs, cats, kittens and puppies placed in homes by Brother Wolf this year than during the same three-month period last year — a total of 717 animals now in loving homes.

Across the country, almost 9,000 more animals were placed among the 49 groups participating in the three-month contest. While Brother Wolf didn't rank high enough to win a prize, the reward, the group says, is immeasurable.

The contest's regional winners are featured in this ASPCA video. If you watch carefully, there's at least one shot taken at Brother Wolf.
