FROM HARMONY (formerly DEAL) MOTORS (full release)
Harmony Motors is proud to announce Fill Up our VW Routans with Food Drive. The local Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi dealership is joining forces this holiday season with MANNA FoodBank to help feed the hungry in Western North Carolina.
During the month of December, customers of Harmony Motors will be encouraged to donate cans of food in exchange for discounts on parts and service. The goal is to gather enough food to fill the interior of two Volkswagen Routan vans. All members of the community are encouraged to stop by, visit the new Harmony Motors (621 Brevard Road) and drop off a donation of canned goods. The collected food will then be donated to MANNA FoodBank for distribution.
Formerly Deal Motorcars of Asheville, the new Harmony Motors is a full-service VW, Porsche and Audi dealership serving WNC. "I am proud to be part of this great community and give something back during the holiday season, said Scott Wilkerson, new owner of Harmony Motors.
"MANNA FoodBank relies heavily upon the generosity of all community members, especially the business community, to help us meet the growing need in these tough economic times," said Joshua Stack, the nonprofit's communications and marketing manager. "This food drive is a perfect example of how everyone in the community can do a little and make a huge difference in the lives of more than 100,000 of our neighbors."
Harmony Motors is located at 621 Brevard Road in Asheville and offers a large inventory of new and used Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi vehicles. This state-of-the-art facility provides Harmony Motors' specially trained parts and service technicians with the latest tools and technology to serve the needs of WNC.
MANNA FoodBank is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving WNC since 1982. As an accredited member of Feeding America — the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization, MANNA serves 255 nonprofit member agencies in 16 WNC counties. In 2010, MANNA distributed 9.1 million pounds of food to partner agencies — enough for more than 20,000 meals, 365 days a year.
