Full announcement from the Asheville Police Department:
ASHEVILLE – On 12-10-11 at approx. 7:22 pm, officers were dispatched to 19 Busbee View Rd in South Asheville, concerning a Breaking & Entering to a residence in progress. The caller advised that the owner’s daughter and three male friends returned home to find a burglar inside the house.
As the daughter’s friends surrounded the house, the suspect jumped from a window and attempted to flee on foot. The suspect was caught by the three male friends who ran him down and tackled him with the stolen property. Suspect was then escorted back to the residence where he was held until officers arrived.
Officers arrived to find the witnesses calmly guarding the suspect within the home. Officers with the APD arrested and charged Tyrell Devon Warren (04/06/1992) with Felony B&E and Larceny after B&E. Bond was set at $8,000 secured.
