Montford Association offering reward to help solve brutal assault

ASHEVILLE – The Montford Neighborhood Association is making a monetary contribution to add to Crime Stoppers money for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the beating and robbery of Jennifer Pittman on June 6, 2011 around 3:00 am near the Montford Park and Cumberland Circle.

Crime Stoppers already offers a reward of up to $2000.00 for information

Pittman had just left a friends house and was walking home when she passed a black male walking, after passing Ms. Pittman was struck from behind in the head with a ball bat and robbed. The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, around 6’3” and had a muscular build and possibly a shaved head.

Asheville Police have received tips from the community which have not panned out and request anyone with any information to contact the Crime Stoppers or Asheville Police.
