On Tuesday, 12-27-11, at approx 11:46 am; Officers from the Asheville Police Department responded to the SunTrust Bank located at 700 Haywood Rd. in West Asheville, in reference to a Bank Robbery.
The suspect is described as a younger W/M, approx. 5’7” tall, with light colored eyes and hair. He was wearing a black toboggan and large Grey Jacket. He was last seen leaving the bank on foot towards Fairfax Ave.
The suspect did display what appeared to be a handgun to the tellers and should be considered armed and dangerous.
APD Detectives are on scene and anyone with information is asked to contact APD at 252-1110 or crimestoppers at 255-5050.

Is that even the guy? The description does not match the picture. Green jacket earthtone toboggan or grey jacket black toboggan?

Heck, it could all be a misunderstanding. He could be there to inform the teller that "we're gonna need a lot of money" to fix her car, and then he flashes a pneumatic lug wrench so she knows who he is, and suddenly blammo!! he's a fugitive.
