The spay/neuter grant sponsored by Petsmart Charities has now been expanded to include all dogs in zip code 28806. If you have a dog that needs to be "fixed" or know of one in 28806, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue can get you a voucher to cover the cost.
Within the city of Asheville, if your pet is unaltered, you must: have him or her spayed or neutered by 6 months of age, obtain a permit from the city, or pay a fine. Puppies can be spayed or neutered as young as 8 weeks of age.
