According to the Hendersonville Times-News, Shirley Vernon is retiring after 54 years as a Registered Nurse. Still wearing the white outfit of old, Vernon has worked in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia and previously served at Kent Nursing Home in Kent, N.Y., before coming to Pardee Hospital in 1988.Read the full article
