Betty Cloer Wallace — who "comes from a long line of WNC storytellers" (says fellow storyteller Thomas Crowe) — has released a promo video about her series of historical short novels, The Tuckaseegee Chronicles. Wallace's work explores a specific era in Western North Carolina history: 1750 to 1764, "when the Cherokee Nation is at war and has become a pawn in the conflict between England and France." The Chronicles also delve into the lives of a family, the MacNeils, as they enter this new world.
