ASHEVILLE, NC – Asheville Radio Group has named Ken Carson as Operations Manager for its 5-radio station group in Asheville, North Carolina.
According to General Manager, Bob Bolak, “Ken has an impressive background as an Operations Manager…and even more impressive pedigree as a Rock programmer – just what we need to take Asheville’s biggest radio station, 105.9 the Mountain to the next level.”
Ken Carson had this to say about his new career opportunity: “For years I have aspired to work with Saga and Steve Goldstein. The opportunity to use the power of radio with Bob Bolak’ Asheville team is the chance of a lifetime, and living in the gem of the Carolina’s is an added bonus.”
Company Executive Vice President of Programming, Steve Goldstein adds: “Ken has a great combination of management experience and creative drive. We’re thrilled to attract yet another top programmer to Saga.”
Prior to joining Asheville Radio Group, Carson has been the Operations Manager for the Citadel Communications radio station Group in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Carson also brings past experience in Houston with Cox Communications and Las Vegas with the Beasley Broadcast Group.
In addition to overseeing operations for all 5 Asheville Radio Group stations, Carson will host the morning show, 6am-9am on 105.9 the Mountain and handle day-to-day Program Director duties for 105.9 the Mountain and ESPN Radio 1310 & 970.
